Summit Church began in the 1950s as Balmeno Mission an Independent Pentecostal Mission in the East End of Glasgow. We moved to current location in Springburn in the early 1960's and despite several name changes and different ministers down the years we remain true to our Pentecostal roots and now as part of the Assemblies of God, we have the privelege of being part of a movement of nearly 400,000 churches worldwide. More recently Pastors Stephen & Aline Robbins took up leadership in June 2020 and in September 2024 we relaunched as Summit Church. 

 

Springburn is the highest northerly point within the city limits of Glasgow, and yet is often overlooked and ignored. Yet we believe that this wonderful part of Glasgow built on seven hills is called to be a "city on a hill" and so our vision is that using the metaphor of a summit which has such significance in the Bible, that are we called to Encounter God, Adventure with Him, have greater Vision, to Shine his love to the rest of the world.
